The energy takeover document, what and when?

An energy takeover document is a form you complete when you transfer an energy supply to someone else. This might happen, for example, when you move house, sell your property, get divorced or in the event of a death. On the energy takeover document, you record the meter readings at the time of the transfer.

You can use this form to take out a new energy contract with an energy supplier.  If you provide us with an energy takeover form, we can arrange for your new contract to start from the date shown on the form. This allows you to bring forward your start date if necessary.
