When should you choose a vacancy tariff?

A vacancy tariff is the ideal solution when your home or property is temporarily unoccupied, for example:

• between two tenants;
• while your property is for sale but has not yet been sold;
• during a period of temporary vacancy with very limited energy consumption (e.g. occasionally turning on the lights).

Good to know:

• You don't pay a fixed fee.
• You do pay a higher price per kWh consumed.
• This means a vacancy tariff is only cost-effective if your energy consumption is very low.

If you temporarily use more energy, for example during renovation works or because the property is occupied again, we recommend switching to one of our more affordable energy plans.
