1. No rebate
Your energy bill consists of two parts: a fixed part and a variable part. For the fixed part, you receive 1,000 kWh of green electricity from the grid each calendar year, always at a fixed price of €0.0954/kWh incl. VAT.
For the majority of our customers, no rebate applies.
Why? Because your consumption is significantly higher than the 1,000 kWh we provide at the fixed rate.
In the images below you can see the difference:
- The blue line = our allocation of the 1,000 kWh (pro rata or according to the synthetic (solar) profile (SPP)).
- The green line = the average household consumption (around 3,500 kWh per year), distributed according to the standard consumption profile.
In short: your consumption follows the green line. As a result, you automatically use up every part of the 1,000 kWh at the fixed price, and a rebate does not apply to you.
2. Rebate 1,000 kWh Pro Rata – period 2024 – 30/04/2025
Your energy bill consists of two parts: a fixed part and a variable part. For the fixed part, you receive 1,000 kWh of green electricity from the grid each calendar year, always at a fixed price of €0.0954/kWh incl. VAT.
We spread those 1,000 kWh evenly over 12 months. The calculation is simple:
1,000 kWh ÷ 365 days = your daily share of green electricity at the fixed price.
In a month with 31 days, that equals 84.93 kWh at the fixed tariff.
There are two possible scenarios:
Do you consume more than 84.93 kWh in a month?
Everything above that is billed at the variable price of that month.Do you consume less than 84.93 kWh in a month?
You won’t reach the promised 1,000 kWh on an annual basis.
No worries: we perform the rebate calculation for you.
Concrete example of a rebate calculation
Suppose your total annual consumption is 3,500 kWh. Out of that, 1,000 kWh is billed at the fixed tariff, spread over 12 months according to the pro rata linear allocation. Based on that allocation, you are entitled to 167.12 kWh at the fixed price for May and June together. But in reality, you only consumed 30 kWh in May and 20 kWh in June.
So in total, you “miss” the following:
(84.93 kWh May + 82.19 kWh June) – (actual May consumption 30 kWh + actual June consumption 20 kWh) = 117.12 kWh.
We then correct the 117.12 kWh for the price difference between the fixed tariff of €0.0954/kWh and the weighted average monthly price you already paid of €0.1017/kWh.
Result: you are refunded the difference, so that in the end you still benefit from the full 1,000 kWh at the fixed tariff.
This recalculation is called a ‘rebate’ and applies to monthly invoicing or annual settlement. Even with monthly invoicing, the calculation takes place after the end of the calendar year.
Have you been a customer for less than a year? If you have a shorter billing period, we calculate your share on a linear pro-rata basis.
3. Rebate 1,000 kWh SPP – from 1/05/2025
Your energy bill consists of a fixed part and a variable part. For the fixed part, you receive 1,000 kWh of green electricity from the grid each year, always at the fixed price of €0.0954/kWh (incl. VAT).
We don’t just spread those 1,000 kWh evenly over 12 months, but instead follow the synthetic (solar) production profile (SPP). In practice, this means you are allocated a larger share of the 1,000 kWh during the sunny summer months, and a smaller share during the darker winter months.
Example: in May you are entitled to 139.814 kWh at the fixed price.
Do you consume more than 139.814 kWh in May?
Everything above that is billed at the variable price of that month.Do you consume less than 139.814 kWh in May?
At the end of the year, when we calculate, you will not reach the promised 1,000 kWh.
No worries: we perform the rebate calculation for you.
Concrete example of a rebate calculation
Suppose your total annual consumption is 3,500 kWh.
According to the SPP profile, you were entitled to 139.814 kWh at the fixed tariff in May and 141.000 kWh in June. But your actual consumption was only 30 kWh in May and 20 kWh in June.
The rebate volume is calculated as follows:
(139.814 kWh May + 141.000 kWh June) – (actual consumption May 30 kWh + actual consumption June 20 kWh) = 230.81 kWh.
We then correct the 230.81 kWh for the price difference between the fixed tariff of €0.0954/kWh and the weighted average monthly price you already paid of €0.1044/kWh.
This recalculation is called a ‘rebate’ and applies to monthly invoicing or annual settlement. Even with monthly invoicing, the calculation takes place after the end of the calendar year.
Have you been a customer for less than a year? If you have a shorter billing period, we calculate your share based on the solar production profile.
