How is my 1,000 kWh at the fixed (and low) rate distributed over the year?

Your EnergyVision bill consists of a fixed and a variable part. Each year, you receive 1,000 kWh of green electricity at a fixed price, which remains the same for 10 years. But how do we distribute these 1,000 kWh, and how can you make the most of them? We’re happy to explain.

How do we distribute the 1,000 kWh of green electricity?

This electricity comes directly from our local solar energy production. We spread the 1,000 kWh over 12 months based on the synthetic (solar) production profile (SPP). This means that you receive a larger share in the sunny summer months and a smaller share in the darker winter months when the sun shines less. This way, your consumption is optimally aligned with the natural production of solar energy. The table below shows exactly how we calculate the monthly distribution.

MonthAverage solar energy (SPP)
1.000 kWh from the sun
January2,18 %21,80 kWh
February4,18 %41,80 kWh
March8,54 %85,40 kWH
April

May13,41 %134,10 kWh
June14,19 %141,90 kWh
July
13,69 %136,90 kWh
August12,32 %123,20 kWh
September9,99 %99,85 kWh
October5,85 %58,50 kWh
November2,88 %28,80 kWH
December1,44 %14,40 kWh
Total100,00 %1 000,00 kWh

At the end of last year, the Flemish Utility Regulator (VREG) approved these percentages for 2025.

How to use this green electricity smartly?

Since your 1,000 kWh comes from solar energy, it is best to plan your electricity consumption mainly during the day, when the sun generates the most energy. Good to know: this fixed rate does not apply to electricity consumed during the night rate, as the sun does not generate energy at that time. By timing your energy use wisely, you can maximize the benefits of your contract.

Customer for less than a year? Here’s how it works!

We distribute the 1,000 kWh over 12 months. If your billing period is shorter, we calculate your share based on the solar production profile.
