My 1,000 kWh at a fixed rate is settled on a linear pro rata basis. What does that mean?

Applies to customers with the "Goedkope Stroom" and "Stroom van ’t Zeetje" products from 1/10/2025 onwards

If you became a customer on or after October 1st, 2025, a fixed rate component applies to the first 1,000 kWh of electricity consumption via your tariff card.

These 1,000 kWh are not settled all at once, but are distributed linearly on a pro rata daily basis. This means you are entitled to the same amount of kWh at the fixed rate each year. When your bill is calculated, we look at how many days you've been a customer during a specific period, and the corresponding share of the 1,000 kWh is billed at the fixed rate.

Example:
If you've been a customer for 100 days, you’ll receive about 273 kWh (100 days × 1,000 kWh ÷ 365 days) at the fixed rate.
