How does "Goedkope Stroom 1.800 kWh vast" work?

Enjoy a mix of fixed and variable rates with ‘Cheap Electricity 1,800 kWh Fixed’ for maximum certainty!

Fixed rate for 1,800 kWh per year from the grid.

• You’ll receive 1,800 kWh per year at a low, fixed rate.
• This low rate is guaranteed for 10 years.
• The 1,800 kWh per year is distributed pro rata over the year, i.e. 150 kWh per month.
• As the energy comes from the grid, you will need to pay additional costs such as grid charges, taxes or levies.

Variable rate for the remaining kWh supplied via the grid.

• If you use more than 150 kWh per month, we will purchase that energy on the market (we guarantee that it is green energy). You will pay for this at a variable rate.
• As this energy also comes from the grid, you will also have to pay additional costs on top of this, such as grid charges, taxes or levies.
• This rate changes monthly: sometimes it is very cheap, sometimes very expensive (for example: in 2022, the average residential electricity price (all-in) was up to €0.80/kWh, whilst in 2019 it was just €0.31/kWh). However, as only a small portion of your bill is subject to variable prices, you’re protected in the long term against the vagaries of the market.
