What is autoconsumption and how is it measured?

Autoconsumption, also known as self-consumption, means that you consume energy the moment your solar panels produce electricity. Thanks to autoconsumption, you save on your electricity bill by consuming less energy from the grid (thus avoiding not only expensive electricity, but also grid costs, excise duties, taxes, etc.). Soon, through the MyEnergyVision customer portal, you will be able to check the status of your auto consumption at any time. You can also monitor the current status of your meter per quarter-hour via network operator Fluvius. This allows you to adjust or maximise your car consumption according to your needs.
