What could I save with a plug-in battery?

Below, we’ll explain your potential savings using an example calculation.

Let’s say you have 10 solar panels with a total capacity of around 4.5 kWp. With a 5.12 kWh plug-in battery, you could store and use an estimated 1,250 kWh of extra electricity per year, instead of feeding that energy into the grid.

At an average electricity price of €0.30 per kWh, that means:

  • €375 gross benefit per year for 1,250 kWh of additional self-consumption (1,250 kWh × €0.30 = €375)
  • €144 per year for the subscription at €12 per month (€12 × 12 months = €144)
  • Estimated net savings of €231 per year (€375 − €144 = €231)

That’s around €230 per year, or €19 per month.

This is an example calculation. Your actual savings may be higher or lower, depending on your solar panels, your consumption and how often you use the plug-in battery.
